My path to coaching
1975 born in Bonn and grew up between Cologne and Düsseldorf, the Rhineland is my home.
Even though my professional roots already lie in communication, my path to coaching took a detour. I am a trained and qualified communications manager and marketing specialist. After more than 12 years of professional experience as an account manager and consultant in the communications and advertising industry and a 6-year stay in the USA, change suddenly knocked on my door. For years, my life was in the fast lane: professionally successful and career-driven, in my private life I found love and got married. I moved to the USA through my husband's job and got a taste of the "big wide world", worked abroad and later had two wonderful children there. Back in Germany, we built a house and built on our old career. Everything seemed perfect: a picture-book family with children, a house and a career. The only thing missing was happiness. My life seemed like a pair of shoes that didn't fit, like the lead role in the wrong movie.
Life is development and means change. Accepting change and following it takes a lot of courage! My change meant: divorce, various moves, quitting my permanent job and going back to school. Not an easy step! But once accepted and risks and uncertainties braved, change becomes a loyal friend and companion.
